Kids Hope

Kids Hope is a World Vision mentoring program aimed at creating a positive impact in the lives of Australian children.  The model is built on a long-term partnership between local churches and primary schools, where a caring adult from the church spends one hour each week with a child.  The results can change lives.  Mentors are security checked and must complete a training program which includes child protection policies, understanding children's needs and developmental stages. 

We are very appreciative of the partnership that we have built with the Parkside Church.  Parkside Church, located in St. John's Road, Wonga Park, does outstanding work supporting various groups in the community and has been highly supportive of Wonga Park PS over many years.  All of our Kids Hope mentors belong to the Parkside Church and our very successful Kids Hope program has been running at the school for over nine years.

Wonga Park Primary School acknowledges the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land where we gather, learn and play. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging who have looked after Country for over 65,000 years.
