Inclusion is a core part of who we are at Wonga Park Primary School.

We are committed to ensuring that every student can access, participate in and succeed in learning, regardless of their individual needs. A key part of this begins with really getting to know your child. We encourage parents to work with us to help us understand each child’s strengths, interests and any additional needs.

We use a structured and collaborative approach to planning adjustments and supports. This may include differentiated teaching within the classroom, targeted support, or more individualised adjustments where required. We use strategies such as social stories to support students with transitions, routines and new experiences, helping them feel confident and prepared.

Inclusion also extends to all aspects of school life. For example, we work with families to modify and support participation in activities such as excursions, ensuring that all students are able to be included in a way that is safe and meaningful. Where appropriate, we work in partnership with external providers, including NDIS-funded therapists, to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to supporting students.

Most importantly, we believe that every child has the right to feel a strong sense of belonging. We work deliberately to create an environment where students feel accepted, supported and valued for who they are.
